I am in the process of updating our windows 2000 DNS servers to Windows 2003.
The dns server is set to Load zone data on startup from file (uses a boot file). We have many domains and create them using an asp script that i wrote ages ago which creates a new zone file, and updates the boot file. The issue we now have is that the secondary dns server cannot grapb updates from this server. I understand that this is because i have to set the secondary dns servers ip address in each zones Zone Transfers list. This is a pain for the existing domains that we have and sort of takes away the automation that the script gives me. Is there a way to set a default list of ip address that are aloud to perform zone transfers so that each new domain automatically has them? Or a script that i can use to replace my asp script? Thanks in advance Richard Rustean [MCSE/MCSA 2000-2003] |
