They'll work, whether you are a subscriber or not, in most cases. Only in some cases they may be configured to only accept queries from their subscriber subnets, but for the most part they will accept any queries. -- Ace Innovative IT Concepts, Inc (IITCI) Willow Grove, PA This posting is provided "AS-IS" with no warranties or guarantees and confers no rights. 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 belong to Verizon and are always an excellent source.

If yes, use your registrar. -or- Do you want these for resolving Internet names? If yes, you should use your ISP's resolvers since they are usually physically closer to your client machines. There are a lot of DNS resolvers you can use, but if you are in Los Angeles would you really want to ask a server in Podunk to resolve a DNS name?
