Hello
I am replacing my Windows 200 server and installing a new Server 2003 one. Do I need to be doing some sort of migration of the DNS ?? |

If you are going to migrate (upgrade from 2k to 2k3) you will not need
to do anything. if you havent done so already just make the dns zones AD Integrated are you should be all set. Rich |

yes I will wantto have this new Server 2003 take over for the retiring

Before you attempt DCPromo, make sure the new machine uses the existing DC for DNS only. After it is promoted and the zones have replicated you may change the DC to point to itself for DNS.
