On our test network we have DNS setup. We changed the Domain name so I dcpromoed my server down rebooted and dcpromoed back up to the new domain name. DNS did not replicate. By deleting and recreating the zones I could finally get some of the enties in DNS but no service records would come over. Finally I decided to rebuild the machine. I installed DNS but did configure it at all then dcpromoed it up to the new domain and wow DNS now has service records on my machine (It worked). Does anyone know what causes this? It has biten me twice thus far.
Thanks, Eric |

Those srv records are created during netlogon.
