Hi,
I am trying to set up postfix (version 2.1.5-9) under debian sarge 2.6.8-2-686-smp with courier-pop (version 0.47-4sarge4). Now my outlook indicate there is no problem when i press testing. I can send email with no problem but when i receive email , i found the mail is left as /var/mail/username instead and never being pickup by outlook. I also look up the Maildir (which contain cur, tmp and new) and there is nothing either. I look up the pop3d under /etc/courier and main.cf & master.cf under /etc/postfix but i not sure where i can rectify the above problem (if its those config got cause such problem at all). Btw, all the test is done within LAN network. So essentially i just set up another mail server with different hostname and emailing other machine within the LAN. Can someone plz give me a hand on this problem? thx in advance chris. |

I read this somewhere, but don't blame me if it doesn't work, as
I don't use courier: To configure Postfix to deliver emails to a user's Maildir* type these commands: postconf -e 'home_mailbox = Maildir/' postconf -e 'mailbox_command =' postfix restart -- Greg dav wrote: > Hi, > > I am trying to set up postfix (version 2.1.5-9) under debian sarge > 2.6.8-2-686-smp with courier-pop (version 0.47-4sarge4).
