Hi ,
I have developed an elearning course using the accessibility features in the Flash 8.0. The purpose of the course is to make it accessible to visually impaired persons. We have used the JAWS screen reader 9.0 to test the accessibility. The course contains the main Flash file (Navigation Player) in which we are loading different pages dynamically in a movieclip. We get inconsistent results while testing the course on the JAWS screen reader, such as: 1)JAWS screen reader reads everything which we focus using ?Tab? key but sometime this focus is also lost in the screenreader and tends to read different elements on the screen. 2)When we navigate to the next page in the course using ?Tab? key, the next page loads; however, screen reader cannot read it directly without any key strokes. For this we need to press either the Tab key or ?Ctrl + Home? key combination. Is there any solution on how we can make our content read without any issues using screen reader. :tounge; |
