Using Flash CS3, I'm trying to create a simple (I think) shape tween between an
"open" eyelid and a "closed" eyelid to simulate an eye opening. I've popped an "open eye" into the 1st frame and then about frame 25, I add a keyframe and pop the "closed eye" in place. I've tried selecting the 1st frame and somewhere in the middle & turned it into a "shape tween". When I play the movie, I get the "open eye" in the 1st frame and then blank frames until frame 25 when I get the closed eyelid. I've used PSD and AI file formats trying to get something to work. I never have gotten the arrow line... What am I doing wrong??? |

Shape tweens only work with vector graphics. Try breaking the AI apart into pure shapes and you may get your tween arrow.

Okay, I struggled with this thing all morning and part of this afternoon. I
finally got Live Trace & Paint to work. FINALLY got the gradient fill to work on ONLY the image and not the entire bounding box. Pulled everything into Flash. Only to have the exact same thing happen. Nothing but the 1st and last frame has anything; no arrow line. |
