Have pity on an absolute novice as I try to put together a Flash opening screen
for a Website. What I am trying to achieve is to produce an animated Logo that
fades in and then remains on the screen whilst I add further layers for text
and photos.I can fade the logo in and motion tween it to a new location on the
stage but when I try to fade text onto the stage I can't seem to do it without
re-importing the same logo image on a new layer and then using the next frame.
As an example the logo image finishes it's animation on frame 75 on frame 76 I
want to fade in 3 lines of text. I am obviously doing something really stupid.

It's kind of hard to imagine how you've set up your animation without knowing
more about your project but if you have set your fade animation within a
movieclip, then put a stop(); on the last frame of the fade. If you've set it
up differently, please be more specific and we'll try to .

Also text is impossible to fade if fonts aren't embedded.
