Hello -
I've always wondered if it's possible to show elements that are drug outside the "art board" in Fireworks. It's quite annoying that they are hidden under the gray background and you can't see them until bringing them back in the view port. Thanks Rich |

It's like you're putting stuff under the rug and wondering why you can't see it! ;o) If you want to see everything and only export certain objects, make your canvas large enough to hold everything comfortably, then just make slices over the parts you want to export.. With nothing selected, in the property Inspector click 'Fit Canvas'

First of all, let me say sorry for the delay in posting. Been a little swamped
here. I use Illustrator and InDesign and both have the ability to place elements off the working area while retaining the definitions for the origin, guides, etc that are all compromised when you expand or contract the viewable area. Maybe the FW design team will take a clue from the Adobe family in newer releases and include the simple ability of hiding the bloody gray screen that currently obscure these off page objects.
