After a bit of searching, I came across this thread. Like the OP, I would love
to be able to make those out-of-canvas items visible. It's a real pain to only be able to view what's inside of the canvas. Why can't things be placed "off-stage"? If anybody has any sort of workaround, I would love to hear it! I like Fireworks, but I'm having trouble with this limitation. I'm so used to being able to throw something off-stage for a bit, but with FW it's really hard to adjust. -Luke |

One way of dealing with that is make the canvas as large as you need for the whole work area, put the stuff you're not using on the side or bottom, then just draw slices around the stuff you want to export, and export just those slices - that's what I do.
