I am installing the mxp file in the FW extension manager, and have done it a
few times and restarted FW, but I cannot get the thing to show up under the
"Window" menu option. The official text says to look for it under the
"Windows" menu, which I assume cannot be accurate (there is no such top
level menu). Anyone had any success with this?

What operating system and what version of Fireworks?

OS: Vista 64
FW: CS3

In your Start menu, right-click on the Adobe Extension Manager CS3 and
explicitly Run as administrator or they won't install properly under Vista.

I had trouble installing the Kuler extension, but Rolinstone solved the
problem here:

That should fix it. It worked for me on a couple of extensions. I'm using CS3
on Vista Home Premium.
