Two mystery words of text "Flow Rate" appear right above the 2nd down blue bar
in this link: http://www.knf.com/labfiltration.htm Nothing is in the source code at that spot. The words are used in column headers. I realize that my html, tables and css are (a bit) messy and probably causing the problem. This site has evolved over 8-9 yrs, and started out with Front Page (yuk!!) to DW/CSS and this website is a small part of my workload here, so please be nice. I tried tagging every HTML instance of those words on the page as a test, such as "Flow1 Rate" "Flow2 Rate" to see if it would show up, but it hasn't. Any ideas where to look would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

I think the problem may be your DW template(s).
Using the Web Developer toolbar's Miscellaneous > Edit HTML option I was able to quickly locate the stray "Flow Rate" text and verify that it was indeed the culprit by changing the text on the fly (the text is sitting by itself between two tables). However, when using FF's View > Page Source I cannot find the same code. The code in question falls within the "Mainbody" part of your template. Never having had the need to use DW templates, I'm not familiar with how they work, but the above leads me to believe that they are somewhat like includes and something in them is creating the additional code/text. Maybe someone more familiar with them will chime in. In the meantime, I'd suggest using Firefox with the https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60 toolbar when testing your code?it'll save you a ton of time when trying to locate problems. B. |
