so just type complete sentences in every alt tag and in the meta tags eh? i wonder if there's a way to 'buy' your way to the semi-top? how much would it cost to get to page 1 or 2, and who the heck would you contact to make a deal like that with someone? do you have to go through each search engine and contact them or is there one company you can deal with that will hook you up? anyone know? |

Don't count on this to do much for you. > i wonder if there's a way to 'buy' your way to the semi-top? You could get a site such as this highly rated, but it would be hard work.
You will have to have a certain amount of text content in your website - it doesn't need to be on the homepage though, but it needs to be content that is constantly changing, or updated regularly. You will need to get an extremely large amount of backlinks, as anchor text from backlinks will significantly. Thats it in a nutshell, a website needs content and backlinks. You can have pages without content will drag the site down, which makes it harder to get good SERPS. |

ok, i went to validate my site now that i put in all my keyword descriptions.
it said i had two errors: Line 182, Column 5: document type does not allow element "HTML" here. <html>? The element named above was found in a context where it is not allowed. This could mean that you have incorrectly nested elements -- such as a "style" element in the "body" section instead of inside "head" -- or two elements that overlap (which is not allowed). One common cause for this error is the use of XHTML syntax in HTML documents. Due to HTML's rules of implicitly closed elements, this error can create cascading effects. For instance, using XHTML's "self-closing" tags for "meta" and "link" in the "head" section of a HTML document may cause the parser to infer the end of the "head" section and the beginning of the "body" section (where "link" and "meta" are not allowed; hence the reported error). Line 182, Column 6: "HTML" not finished but document ended. <html> how do i fix these? anyone know? |

Sounds like you have used tag syntax that is inconsistent with your doctype.
Did you upload the page? -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources ================== "chalman" <chal7ds11@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:fq4fko$jie$1@forums.macromedia.com... > ok, i went to validate my site now that i put in all my keyword > descriptions. > it said i had two errors: > > Line 182, Column 5: document type does not allow element "HTML" here. > <html>? > The element named above was found in a context where it is not allowed. > This > could mean that you have incorrectly nested elements -- such as a "style" > element in the "body" section instead of inside "head" -- or two elements > that > overlap (which is not allowed). > > One common cause for this error is the use of XHTML syntax in HTML > documents. > Due to HTML's rules of implicitly closed elements, this error can create > cascading effects. I don't think you could ever get a site built like that out of the mud.
