I have menu on my site, it's made up with CSS'ed links.
When you hover over a link a dotted border (2px thick) is drawn above it. This works fine and looks great in Firefox. But in IE it causes the text to fall down 2 pixels. How can I make IE behave as Firefox? I only want a border drawn above and the text to remain fixed! Thank you for the . All the best // Chris |

Hello,
Without seeing any code, I'd suggest making a 2px thick border over the link that is the same color as the background color. The border changes color on hover so it "appears" to appear, and the text doesn't move down to accommodate it (because it's already there in the link). Take care, Tim "topheman" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message news:g347ld$4qj$1@forums.macromedia.com... >I have menu on my site, it's made up with CSS'ed links. > > When you hover over a link a dotted border (2px thick) is drawn above it. > This works fine and looks great in Firefox. > > But in IE it causes the text to fall down 2 pixels. Thank you.
That was a good ide< that worked out just fine! Now to the extremely tedious task of getting the site to look the same in IE as in Firefox. It's so frustrating! The fonts, alignment, style and everything looks a bit different in IE. Crappy browser! |
