Hi,
I designed the site www.plumlinenursery.com; however, I seem to have trouble uploading changes to the site. The last time I made changes to the site everything seemed to work fine. I just tried making changes today and when I went to upload the changes to the remote site, I keep getting this error message: "Put operation failed since "index.html does not exist on local site." It exists, because I can see it there. It just wont copy to the remote site. What causes this and how can I keep this from happening? |

Is anything entered in the "host directory" line of the site definition?
open the dw Files Panel, change to remote side, and connect. What do you see there? The site files? Or some folders you did not create, with one of them named www public_html htdocs or similar; and the site files are IN that folder? Then put the name of that folder in the "host directory" line. -- Alan Adobe Community Expert, dreamweaver http://www.adobe.com/communities/experts/ |

Hi,
In site definitions, entered in the "host directory" line is: www/plumlinenursery.com/. The local site folder reads like this: Site: Plumline Nursery/www/plumlinenursery.com/images/site files. The Remote folder reads like this: www/plumlinenursery.com/images/www/site files. I don't know how all of this keeps changing, I have not done a thing except go in and make changes to the index page. I am wondering if the hosting company doesn't keep doing something to my files. Sounds crazy I suppose, but this keeps happening. I have other sites hosted by a different company, and I never have problems with those...just this one. Please advise. Your reply is deeply appreciated. Thanks, Lona |
