Link on one side - Response on the other
Client would like two columns on a given page. One column has text with links. When you click on a link the text changes in the other column. In the past I would have used Frames. What is the best way to do this now? I use both GLCS2 and DWCS3, but I am not savvy with special coding. |

Use DW's Set Text behavior. Click on a link on one side, and the behavior
changes the text content on the other. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources ================== "Linda King" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message news:g30n2u$a84$1@forums.macromedia.com... > Link on one side - Response on the other > > Client would like two columns on a given page. Murray,
I'll look for "Set Text Behavior" and see what how it goes. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. Linda |

It's a pretty cool behavior that will let you do all sorts of slick
things.... -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources ================== "Linda King" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message news:g30v5g$iei$1@forums.macromedia.com... > Murray, > > I'll look for "Set Text Behavior" and see what how it goes. This method is much better for me. I admit I was starting to hyperventilate when I began trying to decipher all the different pages with scripts, etc. I am much more comfortable with being able to use Spry within DWCS3. Thank you! Question: When using this sort of action, does it make the page less accessible
in any way? Or does it affect Google in a negative way? Is it better to have the links go to separate pages for Google to find the text? |

The content is still on the page, so Google would still find it. > Is it better to have the links go to separate pages for Google to find the > text? That would certainly be more accessable. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources ================== "Linda King" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message news:g322uv$nim$1@forums.macromedia.com... > Question: When using this sort of action, does it make the page less > accessible > in any way?
