I am new to DW CS3, so sorry to bother you with a beginner's question. One of
the reasons I bought DW is that so many people said that there were great templates to be used and I thought that to be a good idea to start. However, when I open a new page and go to templates, itis empty. So where do I find the templates DW is said to offer? Thanks! |

Thank you, but I do not find general. When I go file > new, a window opens with
on the left sevral possibilities (blank page, blank template, page from template [ this is the one that is empty when I go there], page from sample, other). Then a column called sample folder (CSS style sheet, frame set, starter page theme, starter page basic). When I go to the various possibilities, I get different options displayd in the column to the right. Eg for starter page theme, the next column gives a number of possibilities that open in another column. The examples all look more or less the same, apart form the colours. When I go to starte page basic, different options are there, but those are indeed very basic. Is that what is mean tby tmeplates? |

Did you try Google with "Dreamweaver template"?

Yes, I did and of course I found a number of things, not all of them useful or
free. I thought that DW had a gallery maker itself, I expected that for the price it costs and I had read it somewhere in a review. And now I cannot find such a feature. In the meantime I found the information about the erroneous June 2008 one day trial period. That is exactly what happened to me. I had downloaded DW some weeks before (not opened it) and I thought that the trial would only start when I used it the first time. Then I got the message "one day for trial" and I thought that trial time had run though I had not used the program. What I saw in the one day trial I liked and I love PS, so I decided to buy DW. And now it turns out there is no photogallery, a very important aspect of my website (www.habibi-se.com). Frankly, I feel cheated. Not happy at all..... |

I saw Dreamweaver 8 awhile ago, and you could start with premade CSS templates
with different values. They seem to be missing from dreamweaver CS3. I am migrating from GoLive, and I was hoping to have a starting point like that. I got Dreamweaver today, and I was disappointed when I opened it up and all that was missing. What happened to it? |
