Hi All,
I was a happy interAkt customer and quite frankly have been un-impressed with Adode's ADDT. I was thinking of trying WebAssist's offering and was looking for some comments or experiences others may have had with this product. Thanks. Chris |

WebAssist and InterAKT took very different approaches to their coding
methods. InterAKT used a transaction-driven process which I personally found to be completely opaque. If you like to jump into your code and rummage around, you may have the same experience if you are a fair to intermediate programmer. WA's code is much more explicable (to me at least) and is much easier for me to modify. I believe that you will have to have some coding experience or skill to effectively use either, though. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources ================== "Chris Seymour" <cseymour@seyware.com> wrote in message news:g2m1ov$668$1@forums.macromedia.com... > Hi All, > I was a happy interAkt customer and quite frankly have been un-impressed > with Adode's ADDT. > I was thinking of trying WebAssist's offering and was looking for some > comments or experiences others may have had with this product. > > Thanks. > > Chris |

Hi Murray,
Thanks. I do have a good bit of PHP experience. I have used the InterAkt products for quite a while and am happy with them. I was more than a bit disappointed when Adobe dropped the Calendar product which was a great time saver for me. I will take a closer look at WebAssist. Thanks. Chris,
You'd be fine with WebAssist since you have some PHP background. I use both WebAssist and ADDT extensions and find that they do have some overlap, but for the most part they serve different purposes. WebAssist takes a "no hand-coding" approach, and their extensions are for-the-most-part wizard driven. You may need to get into the code once in awhile, but it's not difficult and I've found their support is good. If you have any product questions, look up Mark Haynes - he's a big . If you can catch one of WebAssist's sales (their http://www.webassist.com/professiona....asp?WAAID=649 is going now until June 27) you can get their extensions at a good discount.
