DW8 was working fine on friday...Monday the program no longer recognizes the
default keyboard functions like cut and paste and undo.
Trying to copy text inside a layer on one page
then paste copied text into a layer on another page doing the same proceedure
through 20 pages.

Here's what happening now. I place the cursor in the layer where the text is I
wish to copy. I hit the keyboard Cntl + A and DW8 selects all the pages in the
site! Not just highlighting the text but actually selects the Local site from
the folder on my c drive. then if I were to hit paste it doesn't change the
text inside th layer at all but it wants to paste the entire site again.

I have shut down and restarted. Gone through it all again and selected copy
and paste through the menu; no change, still wants to copy entire site.

So I removed the application from the C://, restarted and reinstalled DW8;
tried it again - still no change.

Then I renamed teh config folder, shut down and restarted tried again and stil
NO CHANGE.

I'm at my wits end, the program doesn't seem to want to allow me to cut copy
paste or undo anything. I don't know how to fix this??? I have even tried it
while testing it on the creation of a new site and still no undo, no cut and
paste and it wants to select adn copy all the page in the site.

Do the dw menu->Edit->copy/paste work?

what OS? are there any keyboard widget type things installed?

Sorry it's Windows OS. no widegts and the Menu Edit copy paste works the same way.

Does not work. I tried again this morning and the copy, paste, select all none of these work either from teh keyboard shortcuts or the menu.

I'm baffeld. Please, if you can.

THank you - I followed this tech note to teh letter and restarted my machine and wow DW now has all the proper keyboard and menu shortcuts back . THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
