I don't know about Etch, but on Lenny a simple m-a get acerhk && m-a build acerhk did the trick. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFIJBwn5jrP7hWxSO8RAuVeAJ0XgJQQRKioAtladrUmBR 8ZlSetxQCgyAMk 00Ti79rsvthsYrZEPhPLCZ0= =I15Y -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

I didn't clearfy what exactly i wish to do - since there is a bug with this exact issue . i wish to fix it - by setting the right value in control file or make file of it. i downloaded the m-a source package but even there i didn't find what i need to change in acerhk-source to add it to the list. afaiu m-a stores all the entries in some file (or dir) so adding acerhk to that file will e enugth. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iQIVAwUBSCRGRpzNKvbZ7QAsAQKXrg/9FXGVOYz00rTG9Z5upkIG6Cm5x5Rb2pxP PhBdr7aYm1iESEh4bo9QqxqeLjchFXQh3u/Oe3d8VHUWjEMA5ncWpw5no7lUXNIY FqXBVVZxxhHmr8n3Q/IjidUW+noOpaqFRwvpBUQC1/P6S4R/xwuXfMx6uLf11I65 Vx7/jeqBBbeoUrFBtfNAqFwllIuqM/NqUcemGHYih0dGPkcbnL448p9Aw7rBlymm cOvEabNTYQTxTs6hd+aU+Svl+HJOUwukciYizmILp4J3wfBbYh 8S4VCuIeYGuO2S +nSl5cJ2ppzRQlPWYV3TkyXVeHAsmC77XY7/xcEu0BJoZ1xUlLpv+oADRcW6egbf ybc13B/neWefR6aPAspqsA2yyzcD5ubQP2zpW72seomnXBIJ8qg2kiw7Y x6Q8DkB bJJtsNlIOwlfAnth8KzDmnGU/QX7HdeDyZe17J2mr6tMUgRA3uwG/+9ABNiEVh6d i/fDrzwlOBh0A5hfbeF4OWsIzjJMPJw0DIcYbrytTzs2TVDTbJik EKR9K/wJOsBQ J48LW7xSfC18phrxB+eMXxsVZ0IiChF5oNA90Xs+OkNmRztbY3 3uQ+Z0NbgvcfuI aOVLJUl5jEAXbAtYzhhVVbOPiFcwA0Z/kN35fLsTiqpg3Hc03PmtvdXylTLYdTWG 58mB9L4CIvs= =AJbM -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Generally install the -source deb. It will do that for you. I personally dislike m-a's interface and prefer sticking with the command-line interface: m-a -t (and also -i , to make it behave more like a command-line program). m-a build does not require root (if you use '-u .'). Anyway, what you seem to be missing is a little file in /usr/share/moddass/packages . Just use the generic stanza: ln -s generic.sh /usr/share/modass/packages/PACKAGENAME Originally it was intended to contain some logic, but later on it turned out that there was mostly no need for that logic. It would still look for the source tarball under /usr/src/PACKAGENAME.tar.bz2 (and some other names) unless you set TARBALL in the environment (IIRC. Try working this out from the m-a script) -- Tzafrir Cohen | tzafrir@jabber.org | VIM is http://tzafrir.org.il | | a Mutt's tzafrir@cohens.org.il | | best ICQ# 16849754 | | friend -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
