I have the php-pear package installed. When I try to install a PEAR
package (as root using 'pear install Package) it seems to install ok but then I'm unable to use it. <? require_once "Package"; ?> can't find it, nor can I. The php include path is 'include_path='.:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear'. 'pear list' shows it as being installed. Could someone explain to me what's going on? -- "The suppression of unnecessary offices, of useless establishments and expenses, enabled us to discontinue our internal taxes. These covering our land with officers and opening our doors to their intrusions, had already begun that process of domiciliary vexation which once entered is scarcely to be restrained from reaching, successively, every article of property and produce." -- Thomas Jefferson Rick Pasotto rick@niof.net http://www.niof.net -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Maybe one of these packages is already installed? $ apt-cache search php | grep pear | sort php-pear - PEAR - PHP Extension and Application Repository php-xml-util - a XML utility for php-pear php4-pear - PHP Extension and Application Repository (transitional package) -- Ron Johnson, Jr. Jefferson LA USA Give a man a fish, and he eats for a day. I can list pear packages available on <pear.php.net>, I can install them using "pear install <package>" (th package is definitivly downloaded and in the right directory) but if I want to use it, they are not availlable. Same problem for the "pecl" stuff.
