I've been getting the following error when i try to:
aptitude upgrade

E: Failed to fetch
http://ftp.dk.debian.org/debian/pool...2.5-9_all.deb:
MD5Sum mismatch

I get the same eroor with doc-linux-text. These errors are blocking any
other upgrades, am I the only one seeing this?

/Magnus

It sounds like a mirror problem to me -- see if the problems go
away if you use a different mirror.

That ed, thanks. How to make a "bugreport" on a mirror? the
doc-linux-text package have been sick for about a week.

Don't bother. In many cases, the Debian administrators have no direct
control over the mirrors. Sometimes a mirror will have a problem only
for a couple of hours (such as during the daily mirror pulse), other
times the problem will persists. For example, the ftp.us.debian.org
rotation recently experienced problem when the kernel.org machine that
was in it was taken down for 48 hours of maintenance. The solution then
was to switch to a different mirror set.

-Roberto

What happens if you use a different mirror?

Ok, if I understand you correctly the nest upgrade of the offending
packages will straighten these things out?

Possibly. That assumes that it is a problem with the package itself on
the mirror or the Packages.gz file or something like that. If the
mirror itself has problems (maybe filesystem corruption on the disk),
perhaps not. I guess that "don't bother" is a bit too strong. The best
thing to do is figure out exactly which mirror is causing you grief and
then directly contact the admins of that mirror.

-Roberto
