I just purchased the registered version of Doom (Ultimate_Doom.exe), and
I want to start playing the game, but there is a problem--I'm a Linux user. I was able to play the shareware Doom episode using prboom and freedoom, so I know Doom can work on Linux. I just need to get the WAD files extracted from the executable ultimate_doom.exe. How can I do this? Please CC me because I'm not subscribed to the list. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmaster@lists.debian.org |

If so, you should be able to extract it as any other zip file using unzip or similar tools. Otherwise you might need to use Wine to run the installer and extract the files. -- Cheers, Sven Arvidsson http://www.whiz.se PGP Key ID 760BDD22 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBGNKjZJ4SEkXYL3SIRAkfKAJ4uiQPk3vinkgxi7yiP83 ErQP9tAACfdIEN cZ5g0pvtlDDhinYnVgMozco= =K95S -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

I used wine, and I'm now happily playing Ultimate Doom on my Linux system. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
