How can I find out the speed of my RAM, and the interface that it uses?
I figured there would be a terminal command along the lines of:

sysinfo -ram

It does seem difficult to find out these things on the world wide web.

and apt-get install dmidecode is not found

Synaptic says the package is installed

I think you need to run it as root. I just tried it as user on FC2, and got a
permission denied, but su'ing to root, and running dmidecode gives all the
output.

Nigel.
