Apparently the Debian Etch RC1 NetInstall is broken[1]. It was reported by multiple people that their installers halted on 5%. The current fix is to use the daily installer build, installing right off of the CD (Without using the net to download packages) [1]http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/News/2007/20070210 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". It appears I didn't use the right keywords on Google .But I'm a bit confused: you talk about installing from a local CD source, so I believe you are actually suggesting that I use the *weekly* full CD/DVD images. Can't I use a *daily* netinst, instead? The link you pointed me to seems to suggest this. I also found mention of a workaround: http://snipurl.com/1b5pm Is it safe? -- Ciao, Marco. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-user-REQUEST@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
