Hi,
I am using Sendmail AND Fetchmail (for a provider email box) I have a list of spam, into /etc/mail/access.db Do you think that Fetchmail can refer to this list ? If so, is there any possibility that Fetchmail refer to this list ?? thanks |

This newsgroup deals with sendmail, not Sendmail. You should post your question in a newsgroup such as comp.mail.misc that deals with fetchmail. |

Sendmail uses access db in SMTP session to reject mail messages *before* taking over responsibility for message delivery so it is not "receiving" sendmail duty to generate bounce messages. In your case it is too late for such use but you can: * make fetchmail use procmail as mda (see --mda option in man fetchmail) * make procmail use spamassassin for spam detection (spam marking) * make spamassassin use Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::AccessDB plugin so information "accumulated" in access db will be used for spam detection/scoring by spamassassin -- [pl>en Andrew] Andrzej Adam Filip : anfi@priv.onet.pl : anfi@xl.wp.pl Look, I'm about to buy me a double barreled sawed off shotgun and show Linus what I think about backspace and delete not working. -- some anonymous .signature |
