Hi, List;
I'm running RHEL AS4U5 with sendmail-8.14.0-1.CF.rhel4, and its domain name is mail.abc.com. Our MX server has another domain name, it's mail.xyz.com. our mail service is working like this: 1, all of our mails will be processed by our MX servers, Its name is mail.xyz.com. There is a processing instance running there, and will filter all the spams/virus. 2, When our employee sending mails, they use mail.abc.com as their default smtp server. Their mails will be delivered into local mailboxes, and periodically pop3-ed by mail.xyz.com, and then saved on mail.xyz.com. My question is How can I make *some* of the local users to use MX record directly when sending mails, so their mails will not be stored at the local side, instead getting into mail.xyz directly! Am I clear? Thanks for your directions! |

Thanks for your directions! Is there any reason at all to save mail in mailboxes on your mail.abc.com server? If not, just ensure that the domain isnt considered local on that server and that the server can perform MX record lookups and deliver on its own to your actual mailbox destination. As for the actual question you asked the answer is "configure their MUA clients that way" |
