Hi, if you are using Spamhaus SBL-XBL, can I suggest you now switch to
Spamhaus ZEN (zen.spamhaus.org) which contains SBL+XBL+PBL For more info: http://www.spamhaus.org/zen/ -- Steve Linford The Spamhaus Project http://www.spamhaus.org |

Why not block obvious pool addresses, even if the ISP hasn't contacted you? The last few spam I have received (passed by zen) are from (RDNS hostnames): ipa83.20.91.tellas.gr client-87-247-125-222.turbozone.lt cust-02-5286890e.adsl.scarlet.nl escapadeness.glut.volia.net mycomputer.kornet.net 87.250.111.150 217.16.16.81 170.252.72.95 That is 3 from pool addresses, 3 with no RDNS and 2 from non-generic RDNS. Seems like there is great potential from adding pool addresses to the DNSBL. Given that you allow individual senders to make corrections to the list, I don't see the downside. It will take some weeks before it reaches optimum mass, and maybe a month more before the major Asian, African and South American networks input their DSL ranges. -- Steve Linford The Spamhaus Project http://www.spamhaus.org |
