I'm behind my firewall at home so I dont need all of the extra special
SPAM powers that sendmail has added since ver 7.0. All I want to do is RELAY may without any, and I mean any checks at all. I want a dumb mail RELAY client. How can I configure sendmail to stop doing all of these extra terrestrial checks? 1st and I had to tell sendmail that it was OK to listen to eth0. 2nd .. now I'm stuck trying to get it to stop trying to resolve envelop information. (getmxrr stuff) I want sendmail to just RELAY to the smarter "Smart Relay" configured on the DS line. C |

After reading alittle more I found the cure for my problem above... #2 It appears that you have to enclose your IP address in brackets in order for sendmail to use it. duhhhh... syntax: DS[xx.xx.xx.xx] Then re-run your sendmail tests. And exactly what kind of firewall do you use that is capable of filtering *spam* from E-mail messages? -- http://nagual.nl/ -- PGP/GnuPG key: F86289CE ++ Running FreeBSD 6.1 ++ Solaris 10 6/06 ++ |
