Par défaut Status of Procmail

I was looking into Procmail and found the official website at
procmail.org.

I noticed that the last update was way back in 2001.

Is Procmail still being actively developed?
Is it considered a fully matured tool that has no active need for
development?
Is there something new that has largely replaced it?

The code is improved from time to time. But it really is a very stable piece
of software. If you look at the history file it has about 16 years of history
behind it. I've been using it for about 8 years or so. It's one of those
packages just works and you never worry about. There are other solutions out
there that duplicate what procmail does, but oftentimes they require more
memory/processing power. It has a quirky syntax, but procmail is fast,
specialized, and simple.
