i am a newbie to the world of Ruby, i intend to use ruby in testing
my web application. i dont know where to start with please .

any sample examples how ruby was used in testing web applications
would also .

You might want to use something like ScRubyt (http://scrubyt.org/) or
Mechanize (http://rubyforge.org/projects/mechanize/).
