i downloaded the lib from http://code.blitzaffe.com/data/files...0.9.tar.gz,and
loged in with my account,but failed the get the roster.
Any advice is apreciated

it's ok now
but still another problem below
$this refers to the jabber account which i logged in
by $this->send_presence("subscribe", $to, NULL, $request_message);
the remote user can subscribe to my presence
then if I wanna subscribe to a remote user's presence,
how should I do it in a programme?

Ask the people who supplied your account. $this->send_presence() is not
a PHP supplied function, and we have no idea what it is.

The people who supplied the jabber software should be able to you.
