To pacify HTML-aware newsreaders, I've changed <chevrons> to [brackets],

Mr Heathfield, please don't respond to such posters. I'd say it's
rather obvious his post has nothing to do with C at all.
He is a spammer, as he has posted the exact message in several
newsgroups (comp.os.linux.advocacy, comp.lang.c++, alt.comp.freeware,
comp.sys.mac.system, comp.os.linux.misc, gmane.comp.python.django.user)
