Hi all,
I want to download and compile the source for Apache and SSL on Windows but I don't have Visual C++ nor do I have the funds to buy Visual C++ just for this task. Is there another compiler (like gcc on Linux) I can use on Windows to compile this? Thanks -- Sam |

Hi. Actually if it were up to me I'd be on Linux -- that's what I've
ran at home and on laptop for well over 6 years, but at work I'm stuck on Microsoft Windows. That's why I'm asking this question because I KNOW how to do this in Linux and OSX, but not Windows ... and I don't want to give Uncle Bill any more of my companies hard earned money. |

Hi Dave,
As I mentioned to the 'Newsgroup Poster' dude, at work Windows is my only option... they don't want to use Linux for some reason, but me personally Linux and OSX are all I use outside of work. I haven't had a Windows box at home in well over 6 years. I don't like Windows, I hate the way Microsoft does stuff, and if up to me I'd never touch it, but alas at work I don't have an option. FWIW, Sam |
