Hello,

I am working on a reporting mechanism that uses the apache
server logs.
For this I have added the following lines in the httpd.conf

CustomLog "|/hta/apache/cronolog/sbin/cronolog --period=5minutes
/hta/apache/var/logs/EDW/access_log_%Y%m%d%H%M.log" common env=!dontlog

The problem I am facing is that the lgos are getting created with
"root" permissions. I need to delete these logs after getting the
reports ready.
Can you please give me any suggestions on how to go about this?

Which user does apache run as ? If root, then this is why ..
