I use the .htpasswd for keeping track of users passwords. Does anyone
know of any instructions that I could follow that would write a to the users machine so they don't have to enter the user name/password each time. I'm on a linux server Thanks, Chris |

I'm on a linux server They could bookmark http://user:password@your.site.com/ .... but this isn't very good as it probably leaves the password lying around on their machine in plain text.. -- http://fotoserve.com/ - Superb hand-checked AGFA prints, bright sharp posters, strong block canvas prints, unique picture bags and gifts ..... from your own digital images. |

I'm on a linux server Normally your application would have to read and set the . But if you want a cheesy approach, you could probably fake it with mod_rewrite. |

I'm on a linux server Many browsers already give the users a way to remember their credentials. If they want to do that, they can do that already. I wouldn't bother trying to work out another way to do something that's already possible. -- If you insist on e-mailing me, use the reply-to address (it's real but temporary).
