I have a page at
http://www.develop.check.com.au/gilking/index.html with a log in form contained in an absolutely positioned <div>. It works fine in IE6 but Firefox v2 won't permit an entry in the username field though the password and submit fields work as expected. Can anybody shed any light on this? The site is password protected: username: pair password: pair TIA |

Both work, you just can't click on the username box to give it focus. If you use tab, it works, just fine. Removing the explicit height from the menu div or changing its z-index will work but may, of course, cause problems elsewhere. BTW, the fixed size you are assuming already cause some layout problems where users want larger fonts than you expect. -- Ben. |
