Someone renamed a server from 2A to A.
When I do @@servername I get 2A. The server/machine name is 2. Should my triggers say 2A or 2? Does it matter? Thanks |

EXEC sp_dropserver '2A' EXEC sp_addserver 'A', 'local' Restart SQL Server. After this, @@servername should return the correct value. -- Erland Sommarskog, SQL Server MVP, esquel@sommarskog.se Books Online for SQL Server 2005 at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...ads/books.mspx Books Online for SQL Server 2000 at http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinf...ons/books.mspx |

I don't what possible performance problems you have experienced, or how you use @@servername, so I cannot really comment. -- Erland Sommarskog, SQL Server MVP, esquel@sommarskog.se Books Online for SQL Server 2005 at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...ads/books.mspx Books Online for SQL Server 2000 at http://www.microsoft.com/sql/prodinf...ons/books.mspx |
