Hmm, that's the strange,

When I used:

mysql -u root -p

and enter the password it didn't work.

Then I tried:

mysql -u root --password="mypassword"

And then it did work.

And then I tried again:

mysql -u root -p

And then it worked as well.

So two possibilities:

1. I did not enter password correctly (hard to believe since I tried
multiple times)

2. There is some kinda of strange bug that prevent the -p switch from
working correctly the first time.

(MySQL newsgroup added to inform those guys, they might have a very strange
bug in their code )

(My password has capital letters so I have to use shift key, maybe that has
something to do with the first failures)

Possible bug in mysql.exe:

After installing mysql for the first time:

mysql -u root -p

fails to login properly.

mysql -u root --password="thepassword"

does login properly after which the first one will work as well.

Downloaded Tool: DB Manager, somebody wrote it could convert ms access to
mysql database.

Standard version download. Standard version does not seems to contain any
conversion or open buttons for ms access.

Bin directly does not contain any other tools.

I had a bad feeling when I downloaded this tool.

Tool will be removed after this post.

The tool re-directed to a website after de-installation to inquire for the
reason for deinstallation.
