I have a Dell PE 2600 running Windows Server 2003 R2 with SP2 installed. I
have setup Faxing on the server and it runs fine, both locally and remotely. However on my work laptop (not joined to the server's domain) I cannot send a fax through the server (it has the only phone line). I can add the Fax 'printer' from the Add printer wizard as the instructions indicated. The 'printer' appears in my laptop's list of printers. However, when I open my laptop's Fax Console it says under Fax printer status that there is a 'communications error' with the Fax Server on the server. Any suggestions?? |

Hello James,
I think that the problems it`s because you are not connected to the domain, use a vpn client or via tunneling in order to be part of your domain and the services will be availables to you. I had never experimented with fax server, what kind of card or device have you connected to the server? I will appreciatte if you share how did you setup your system. Thanks, Javier "JamesBriggs_Louisville" wrote: > I have a Dell PE 2600 running Windows Server 2003 R2 with SP2 installed.
