Creating a new, blank document--even a small one--takes a very long time
on my otherwise speedy system. When first opening PS, it can take 15-20 seconds. After PS has run for a while it is faster, but still takes 10 seconds. I notice it took some time in CS2 compared to earlier versions, but thing seem to be going downhill... Does anyone else see this? Jason |

Machine is XP Pro on a 2.4GHz dual-core Intel system; 3GB RAM; 1TB disk on two drives - PS temp space on a separate physical volume from the system and paging volumes. I have a separate profile for PS work that reduces other tasks to the minimum I could come up with. -- reverse my name in email address |

I've avoided erasing it so far because of the hassle, but I'll try it - it is the profile I set up for CS2. The fact that the CS2 profile works with CS3 may be masking a side-effect of using it...
