have cs3 extended. whenever i add text to an image, i have to use size 500 just to make it show up as a normal size 18. how do i fix this issue?

go into image> image size. make sure resolution (ppi) is something normal, like 72 - 300.
if it's like "1" or "1000", reset it. |

1000 should not cause a problem. That is a normal resolution for some printers. The low numbers are definite no-nos.

Fonts are typically measured in points.
72 points = 1 inch. So when you pick a point size for the type tool in PS, it gets sized on your image file according to the dimensions of your image. Look at the image/size command to see your image size settings. You can also set the type tool to set type in other unit size dimensions if you like. Points are just the most common unit of measure normally used. Ed |
