Yes, Murray. I am still waiting for an answer to my question.
And no, I was also reacting to other people who don't want to put in the time to figure out their problems. I stick by what I said. GoDaddy has great a great service, a low cost, but you need to have some smarts to make it work. If you go back on the problems people have had with GoDaddy, it is largely centered around two, entirely true criticisms. #1 GoDaddy's MySQL server is not 'localhost'. That means you need to go into codeview and manually change the file in the "connections" folder, upload it using an FTP client, then change it back after you upload the file so your testing server works. #2 GoDaddy's documentation is at least two versions too old. You will waste time talking to customer service over the simplest matters, at times, simply because the documentation is lacking. But as I said, I made it work with little problems, largely because there were zero expectations based on what they promised. Right now, I am still trying to get my shopping cart working. I was able to find (sorry, but no link button in Safari I did find (sorry, no link button in Safari,) http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamwea.../php_cart.html. I don't know if this will , but that's the best I've found so far. Again, love you. But I need . |
