Hi every one I use dreamweaver mainly as place holder for my flash sites. In
the passed I use the title statment in my HTML pages to search engines find my sites. But I don't know if this is new to CS3 or not but now it seems that the <Title> statment in the HTML page is no longer valid at pulling any search results. One thing I have noticed in comparing meta tags with DR8 and DR CS3 is this: DR8: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" /> vs. DRCS3: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> maybe I'm focusing on the wrong thing here the only real goal I do have is to get my sites that are mostly flash to be found by search engines in some way. As always I"m gratfull for any and totaly open to any new ideas any one might have Thx John |

What determines your SERP is the CONTENT on the page. If your page is all-Flash, you basically have NO content on the page (since search engines cannot read Flash content). The information in the <title> tag *is* critically important, yes, but a title alone will NOT get you a good ranking. I think you are discovering why one should not do all Flash sites without also buying placements and getting good incoming links - that's your only alternative, I think. -- Murray --- ICQ 71997575 Adobe Community Expert (If you *MUST* email me, don't LAUGH when you do so!) ================== http://www.projectseven.com/go - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources http://www.dwfaq.com - DW FAQs, Tutorials & Resources ================== "187 (Elite)" <webforumsuser@macromedia.com> wrote in message news:fqf2v1$mcq$1@forums.macromedia.com... > Hi every one I use dreamweaver mainly as place holder for my flash sites. > In > the passed I use the title statment in my HTML pages to search > engines > find my sites.
