How can we make full use of our CPUs resources. We have the Host system
running on a dual core CPU and are aware from Task Manager/Resource Allocation window that the full capability of the CPU is not being used. We have installed SP1 2005 R2 SP1. Not sure about VM Additions. Is there any software or other solution to solve this ? All very confusing, please . -- Thank You |

I'm quite sure I read in the virtual server documentation that a virtual
machine gets access to only one CPU. (Another virtual machine can use another CPU, but still only one per VM.) Greetings, As Jim Kay writes, VS only supports 1 CPU per guest. In addition you can have a brief look at this: http://support.microsoft.com/default...867586?lc=2057 Dont know you run hyperthreading. |

Jesper, In my original post I wanted to know when this problem of resource
allocation will be fixed. Do you know what will fix this ? Will it be Windows Server 2008 ? or Is it fixed by installing a Management playform or a combination of both ? Thanks -- Thank You "Jesper Arnecke" wrote: > "Jim Kay" wrote: > > I'm quite sure I read in the virtual server documentation that a virtual > > machine gets access to only one CPU.
