single screen, and must be in the order of 2000 to 6000 bytes or
so. 57,000 is ridiculous, as are the other higher sizes shown.

Perhaps the "script" is counting the headers as well?

My guess: 57KB altogether, spread over 29 articles, i.e. around 2KB per
article.

What is wrong is that you are taking the header literally; the
amounts are clearly cumulative totals.

No. The typical total content of headers is in the 1k to 2k
range. It never approaches 57k.
