I am going to create a registration form with an auto mail responder and a
mySQL database. The db will be strictly for user information. Would anyone be willing to give me an estimate on what I should charge this person. He's a friend for one and I have yet to do any work that I have actually charged for using php, mostly small stuff for friends. I once read that it cost $500.00 to setup a db and another $125 to create the registration forms depending on the complexity. Can anyone advise? thank you Kevin |

I appreciate the honesty and insight.
I live in Silicon Valley which is San Jose, California / USA very expensive to do anything in this area. I was going to quote a flat price of $500.00 U.S. for setting up a complex form, the client side validation, creating the DB, and setting up an email auto responder that sent an email to the client everytime a user registered with the registrants information, and an autoresponder that went to the client that allowed them to complete their registration process. I was given the impression that something like this would price out around $1500 US dollars. insight always appreciated Thank You Kevin Raleigh "Rik" <luiheidsgoeroe@hotmail.com> wrote in message news p.tva9jey5qnv3q9@metallium...> On Wed, 11 Jul 2007 03:46:56 +0200, Tim Campbell <timothyc@golden.net> > wrote: > >> Would anyone be willing to give me an estimate on what I should charge > >> this person. How much time will it take 2. what does it cost to feed. house and cloth yourself each month?? 3. figure it out. Don't start under charging because he is a friend, he will respect you more if you charge a going rate, otherwise he will have you grabbing your ankles every time he need s work done.
