I am trying to install MySql v5.0 and am getting errors when running
mysql-test-run.

I have looked through several references but can not find anything
that tells me what the errors mean or how to fix the problems causing
the errors.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

Oh dear, my crystal ball just blew a fuse. There it was about to show
me what the errors looked like that we had to point you in the
direction of fixing and it blew a fuse.

Maybe you will be lucky that someone else's crystal ball will fare
better.

Or just maybe you might give us a clue of the sort of errors you are
getting!!!!!!

Then others if they had a quarter of a brain could resist flaming a
post that ends up being less than usefull and maybe just maybe could
see that I was not asking you to fix my problem so you can be a hero.
I am looking to find a reference so I can try to tackle it myself.

These groups should not be a forum for flaming but for posting
questions and hopefully getting useful information in response. Like
your mother surely told you, but you obviously failed to listen and
learn - If you don't have anything useful to say - keep your mouth
shut, or in this case turn off your computer and get out your Wii

Is there a document somewhere out there that tells what each test case
is supposed to test, the expected results, and maybe what failing the
test means and how to address it?

My crystal ball still works. It says Captain Paralytic has run out of fuses.

I know exactly what this forum is for.

Read through this group and see how many people I . Loads!

Immediately before posting a reply to you, I had posted actual answers
to 5 other posters questions.

What I posted was NOT a flame. I was pointing out that, if you don't
tell us what sort of errors you are getting, we cannot tell you where
to look for answers.

Now you have told us what is failing, but not given any clues as to
the type of errors.

It's like going into an auto parts shop and asking for a spare part
for your car and when they ask what part you need, you tell them that
the car is a Ford!

Now quit being a dick-head and think about what sort of things you
need to tell us so that we can answer your question!

That depends on what the failure is. If you go to a hospital because
there is something wrong with you, the treatment has to be based on
the symptoms, not on the part of the body that is not working.

If you fail the test of being able to pick somethign up, it could be
that you have broken a bone in your arm, or you could have had a
stroke, or severed a tendon.

Also, if you look through my replies, you will see that I almost
always post the documentaion reference where I find the answer.

I spend a lot of time going to the manual and looking things up for
lazy gits who can't be bothered to search properly.

Now, if you want , get off your high horse and give us the
information that Willem and I said we needed. Otherwise p*ss-off.
