I know some of the regulars here have been burned by hosts that were
recommended here. I have also noticed that if someone asks for a recommendation, there are few responses. I'll try anyway. I have a client that survived the Page-Zone mess, but now wants to move due to slow response times for tech support. Here are his requirements: $10.00 per month or less. CPanel Linux MySql Perl/CGI PHP Unlimited email addresses At least 3 domains The disk space and bandwidth offered by any $10.00 host should be more than enough for him. He is currently paying for 500mb of disk space and 8gb of transfer. I am looking at HostGator, based on positive comments at wehostingtalk.com. |

Looks like things at P-Z have not changed. Take a look at DreamHost. A friend of mine has been very happy with them. |

I <knocks on wood> have been pleased with my move to http://downtownhost.com/ In particular, I've had three needs for assistance, and each time I've used their live-chat support with excellent one-chat-session resolution of the issues. Note you can reduce the cost *considerably* by paying for longer increments of time. > Here are his requirements: Check out their various plans. > I am looking at HostGator, based on positive comments at wehostingtalk.com. That's where I got the leads for downtownhost. -- Blinky RLU 297263 Killing all posts from Google Groups The Usenet Improvement Project: http://improve-usenet.org <----------- New Site Aug 28 |

I've been with webmasters.com for years, no complaints. jmc |

I went to Wirenine ( http://www.wirenine.com/ ) after the Moose fiasco. Been very happy with them. They actually answer emails and tech support tickets! Uptime's been great, prices are too. No complaints from me whatsoever. Jack |

I've never needed any support from them so I can't comment on that, but the prices and the uptime are good. -- Red |
