Par défaut Need posting

Why does everyone think craigslist is so great? I can't get my posts to
stay 15 minutes sometimes before someone flags it for deletion. I try to
obey the terms, I post on topic just like everyone else. Sometimes my posts
don't even show up even if I never get a message saying they were deleted.

Seems like everyone is brainwashed into thinking craigslist is so great. It
is unreliable.

I would like to post my ads here, but I won't. I suppose they would be
attacked as spam or off-topic. Is it appropriate to bitch about craigslist
here? That is all I wish to do.

Maybe I could get some volunteers to me post some announcements? Just
a thought, nevermind.

Thanks.

Not everyone does. Are you trolling?

Except here in a.w.w.

Here in a.w.webmaster? Ads are off-topic *and* spam here.

No. Bye, now.

It's good to have clear goals.

Sounds to me like your posts get flagged as spam and get dumped. That's a
good thing, IMO. More users of Craigslist should be aggressive about
flagging spam posts. From where I stand, craigs list is a big turd and its
mostly because of the spammers and scammers.

Wasn't looking for opinions on if I am spamming or not? That is like
arguing religion and politics. We are not going to solve it today. I have
a business, I need to advertise, survival depends on it - simple. Also not
violating www terms as I will not post any link whatsoever to any of my
sites in this message. If you are curious, email me.

Really, I'm just asking a question. Does anyone have so much trouble with
craigslist? How many complaints does it take to get a post removed? Seems
to me that your competition can send a few complaints and have your posts
removed whether you deserve it or not. Also, I really have to make sure my
posts "actually" get posted. Many times I post and there is no warning that
it has been deleted, but I search through the ads and my ad is never there.

You got it anyway.

Then pay for advertising or place your listing in a location which allows
you to post advertisements.

case-in-point: alt.www.webmaster.ads is *absolutely* an appropriate place
for advertising webmaster related products and services.
alt.www.webmaster is not.

Similarly, there are categories on craigslist within which it is
appropriate for you to advertise your product or services. My intuition
tells me that your listings were not in the appropriate category and
that's why they were flagged.

> Also not violating www terms as I will not post any link whatsoever

No, thanks.

> Really, I'm just asking a question. Does anyone have so much trouble

Nope.
I had one listing removed. I have a large number of used car parts for
sale and instead of posting one item per ad, I posted a link to a page on
my site that had the complete list of parts and pictures of each. The ad
was promptly flagged and removed.

In retrospect it *was* a violation of their rules. However silly I think
it was for someone to flag the ad, I was in the wrong. I subsequently
copied & pasted the HTML from my site into the ad and all was well.

I have placed dozens of other ads on craigslist and NONE OF THEM (other
than the aforementioned list of parts) has ever been removed.

One.

Yup. I doubt that's what the case in your situation, though.

This is an excuse? Would at least like to warn everyone that it is a crappy
service, don't you think?

Folks that have many dirty little tricks and a lot of money.

How do you know that I don't? I would think I have the right to pursue any,
some,
many, or all avenues of promotion whether they be free or not.
